Dominik Waszczynski,
Head of Global Compliance, Hellman Worldwide Logistics
Dominik Waszczynski studied law and holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in white collar criminal law. After completing his legal clerkship, he initially worked as a lawyer in law firms in Düsseldorf specializing in white-collar crime and compliance. Since 2016, he has worked in-house as a compliance manager – initially for the defense company Atlas Elektronik and the medtech group Olympus. He is the author of various professional articles and was a lecturer at the universities of Osnabrück, Bremen and Bonn. Since mid-2019, Dominik Waszczynski has headed the global compliance organization of the internationally active logistics company Hellmann Worldwide Logistics.
Mick Gallagher,
Chief Investigator, UK Serious Fraud Office
As Chief Investigator, Mick has strategic oversight of all SFO investigations and leadership of teams of lawyers, forensic accountants and technical specialists who investigate and expose some of the most serious and complex economic crimes facing the UK.
Prior to this, Mick was OCU Commander of the Metropolitan Police and had lead for the following areas;
- Modern slavery and human trafficking
- Online child sexual abuse
- The flying Squad
- Kidnap
- Cyber-crime
- Economic crime
- Special Projects
Mick holds a Master’s degree in Applied Criminology and Senior Police Management from the University of Cambridge.
Vanessa Hans
Head of Private Sector, Basel Institute on Governance
Vanessa Hans is Head of Private Sector at the Basel Institute on Governance. She has held the position since July 2022, having first joined the Basel Institute in January 2020 as Private Sector Specialist.
Prior to joining the Institute, Vanessa was the Managing Director of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Philippines. She has experience advising companies on ethics and compliance, corporate social responsibility as well as international development strategies.
Vanessa holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from HEC Montreal and a Masters in Corporate Social Responsibility from the University of Nottingham.
