The German government’s Supply Chain Diligence Act, also known as the Lieferkettengesetz (LkSG), came into effect on 1st January 2023.
The LkSG is stricter than the Duty of Vigilance Law enforced in France in 2017, and it raises the bar in global supply chain requirements by being much more comprehensive than any other law of its kind.
The Law Requires Due Diligence in Two Major Areas: Human rights and the Environment.
